CCD/PREP Registration for 2023 - 2024:
​​​​​​Our registration for the upcoming catechetical year (2023-2024) began on June 30, 2023. We currently have a limit of 15 students in each class.
We encourage you to have your children continue their religious education each year. Please remember that a student must have one full year of religious education prior to receiving a sacrament. At St. Bede's Parish, children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion in Grade 2 and the Sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 7.
If you are a new family and would like to register your children in our CCD/PREP program, please use the following link to enter your information directly into the Parish Giving database.
Your information will be processed and you will receive a "Welcome Letter" email directly from Parish Giving with instructions for tuition payment and class selection for your child/children.
A baptismal certificate is required for every new child being registered in our program.

Religious Education (CCD/PREP) Session Choices:
Sunday (9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.) - Pre-K thru Grade 7
Sunday Evening (7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) - Grade 8 only
Monday Afternoon (4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) K thru Grade 7
Wednesday Afternoon (4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.) Grades 1 thru 7

HOMESCHOOLING PROCEDURE
FOR THE
2023 - 2024 CATECHETICAL YEAR
1. REVIEW THE ASSIGNED LESSON with your child (utilizing the student textbook) according to the curriculum guidelines (weekly) - all grade level curriculum guidelines were provided with your homeschooling materials. Complete any questions, puzzles, coloring, etc… directly in the student textbook.
2. COMPLETE THE CORRESPONDING PAGES IN THE GREEN ACTIVITY /TEST SHEET FOLDER (Weekly). Parents were provided all the answers to the student green folder pages in a white envelope.
Note: all CCD/PREP homeschooling students will submit their green activity folders to the Office of Religious Education at the end of the catechetical year (May 3, 2023).
3. Go to LOYOLA PRESS

- Scroll down to Resources - grade levels will be listed
- Click on the grade level of your child
- Click on the Interactive Chapter Review (weekly) corresponding to the curriculum guidelines
- At the end of the review there is a space to enter an email address,
- Enter lcassidy@st-bede.org and type in your child's full name.
- Results received from LOYOLA PRESS will be recorded for each child.
- If one of the chapter reviews happens to be a "game" (there are no spaces for an email address or student name), please send a short email to: lcassidy@st-bede.org indicating that your child completed the game
4. All Loyola Press Chapter Reviews will be checked by catechists or staff to assist with the process. The email your child will send their completed reviews will be updated as we get closer to CCD. We are currently working on finding additional catechists to assist with the Homeschooling portion of CCD. One major change this year is that all Loyola Press Chapter Reviews for the first 11 sessions will be due by January 7, 2024. If your child is not complete with all the assigned Chapter Reviews by this date, they will not be able to continue with homeschooling and have to redo the year. A catechist or staff member will be reviewing your progress of online submissions and updated you at least monthly.
