CCD Summer Program:  (Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21):

Save the Date! We are moving forward with our planned summer session on June 17-21, 2024!   The Summer Session Program will consist of the following: 1)  Five 1/2 day classes from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on June 17-21, 2024 for K through 7th graders; 2) Homeschooling Portion of Summer Program: The CCD Summer program requires additional homeschooling to meet the Archdiocesan requirements for hours of faith education for each grade level.  his work will be broken into 2 semesters and each chapter will require an online completion of the Unit Test and completion of all the work in the semester folders.  The First Semester folder and online unit reviews will be due on or before January 6, 2025 and the Second Semester Folder and online reviews will be due on or before March 30, 2025; 3) Additional Faith Based  Activities and Parent Catechesis Sessions: Six (6) faith-based activities must be completed throughout the year and 2 parent catechesis session completed.  Failure to complete these requirements will prohibit registration in the Summer program for the next year.  There is the expectation that CCD families attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, so these are not eligible for the Faith based activities.  Attendance at family events such as a wedding or funeral Mass, a Baptism, First Communion, or Confirmation are not eligible as well.  A list of suggested activities will be provided. Faith-based activities should be reflective of prayer and worship, as well as a family’s participation in the life of St. Bede the Venerable Parish.  Registration will start on April 1st 2024!  You will receive an email directly from Parish Giving to register.  It will be on a first come first serve basis.  Families must be parishioners of St. Bede and must be active and up to date on their religious education to enroll for the summer program.  There will be no exceptions. Children that need catch-up catechesis are not eligible for the Summer CCD program.  Since this is our first year of Summer CCD, we will be only enrolling 15 children in Kindergarten and 20 children in each grade 1-7.
